Hope Foretold

 • Series: Born to Us

Before the manger, before Bethlehem, before shepherds and angels, hope was already on the move. Throughout the Old Testament, God spoke promises that pointed forward to a Savior who would one day crush darkness, defeat sin, and bring light into a weary world. In this first message of our Christmas series, we look back at the people of God who clung to hope long before they saw its fulfillment. Their stories remind us that hope is not a wish or a dream, but a confident expectation rooted in the faithfulness of God. This message walks through the hope foretold in Scripture: 1. Hope from sin’s defeat (Genesis 3) 2. Hope in the Lamb God promised (Genesis 22) 3. Hope in the suffering Savior (Psalm 22) 4. Hope in God with us (Isaiah 7:14) 5. Hope in the coming King (Isaiah 9) 6. Hope to hold onto (Hebrews 10:23) Hope was born long before Christ’s arrival, and now that He has come, we hold fast to a hope that cannot be shaken. No matter your circumstances, no matter your season, the One who promised is faithful.
